Alex Kurtzman, the critically acclaimed co-writer of super huge budget movies like “Star Trek Into Darkness” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2,” is all set to make your spine chilled with reboot of “The Mummy.” Read on to find out the latest revelation about the upcoming “The Mummy” in 2017.
With only single feature film experience that was “People Like Us” of 2012, Kurtzman is confident enough to take up the direction charge of “Mummy” sequel. The 42-year-old director stated that Universal studio has been a great support and they have amazing people on board and he feels that even with a little experience of direction he can efficiently handle the sequel, as stated by Comic Book.
“The Mummy” is going to feature new characters in a modern day sequence and there will be new monster characters which will possibly include Dracula, The Wolf Man, The Invisible Man and Frankenstein who might appear sharing big screen with other monsters, but were not connected to Mummy.
The major difference between Mummy flicks is that it will happen in the modern universe, as he believes that in this era the rules of presenting mummy changes absolutely. “The Mummy” is unimaginable without bandages, but then there has to be something new which binds them with this decade.
Alex Kurtzman and Chris Morgan have been given the charge of developing story of cinematic universe creating spaces and links for so many antagonists. The very unique combination is expected to come out from the reboot of “The Mummy.”
