The Season 2 premiere of “Reign” is entitled “The Plague.” That being said, something deadly is going around. The royals, Francis (Toby Regbo) and Mary (Adelaide Kane) will have to deal with it.
Moreover, they also have to deal with politics now that they have so much power in their hands. Here is the official synopsis of the Season 2 premiere, “The Plague.”
As the new king and queen, Francis and Mary are delved into chaos as the Black Plague worsens and lures in the castle, taking many lives. Francis is with Lola (Anna Popplewell) trying to find a way back to safety. Moreover, the nobles lust for power as they put Mary on pressure and Catherine (Megan Follows), even the death count continues to rise. Bash (Torrance Coombs) and Kenna (Caitlin Stacey) will be separated, and Kenna’s life will be in danger as she does everything to save their young patient. Meanwhile, Greer (Celina Sinden) has to painfully watch Leith (Jonathan Keltz) move on and be with somebody else. She is surprised to find out that Leith’sne wlover is no other than her fiance’s daughter.
In a scoop from TV Line, showrunner Laurie McCarthy revealed some juicy details about the upcoming season. Catherine will have a suitor named Narcisse (Craig Parker).
“He lives in an age where life is cheap, and he’ll trade lives to get what he wants. He has a complicated past and an intriguing romantic future,” said McCarthy in the TV Line feature.
