Renee Zellweger Surprises Face-Shamers with New Look at Paris Fashion Week

Actress Renee Zellweger surprised the crowd at the Paris Fashion Week Wednesday night. As she arrived on the Miu Miu red carpet, observers said that she looked like her old self again, less than five months after her allegedly cosmetically-changed face made headlines. Read on.

The glowing “Bridget Jones” star stepped on the red carpet wearing a new fringe and a top knot that made her look several years younger. With nary a hint of makeup, several media outlets on the scene to take photos of the guests exclaimed that the actress looks the way everyone remembers her again.

According to People Magazine, that star looked refreshing in her Parisian chic ensemble. Zellweger wore a black laced dress and paired this with a red coat and nude pumps. She complemented her wardrobe with over-sized sunglasses.

While attending the Hollywood Awards last Oct. 2014, Zellweger was heavily criticized for the way she looked. Her appearance  sparked speculations that she had botched up her plastic surgery. But the actress took the comments in stride, saying friends have remarked she actually appears more peaceful and healthier than before.

“People don’t know me in my 40’s. Perhaps I look different. Who doesn’t as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I’m happy,” said Zellweger in reply to the comments about her face in a previous interview.

The actress hasn’t been visible in the movies since 2010 with the release of her movie “My Own Love Song.” Perhaps, this contributed to the face-shaming she received after being absent in the public eye for so long. Later this year, however, she will finally be seen on the big screen again, in the movie “The Whole Truth” with Keanu Reeves. In the film, Zellweger plays the role of the mother of a 17-year old boy accused of murder. Reeves plays their lawyer.

Famous for her role as Bridget Jones, which came out in two installments, the actress once said it would be fun to do a third movie of the romantic comedy. For a while, there were plans to make this happen, but after Hugh Grant pulled out of the project, it looks like the third “Bridget Jones’ Diary” won’t materialize anymore.
