The first release of “Bridget Jones” was in 2001 and the second “Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason” was in 2004. Doing the math, it’s been 14 years since we last saw one of the loveliest female protagonists on screen.

“It’s really a nice reunion with old friends. And it’s always wonderful to be back in London and I love this character so it’s been a real treat to get to revisit it again.” Zellweger said according to E! News.

“Bridget Jones’ Baby” stars returning actor Colin Firth who plays Mark Darcy, Bridget’s husband  while Patrick Dempsey joins as a new mysterious character. Speculations about his role all point to him as the “other man” that might come in between Bridget and Mark! Uh-oh. Unfortunately, Hugh Grant is not reprising his role.
