“Resurrection” Season 1 Episode 7 “Schemes of the Devil” Recap:
“Resurrection” Season 1 Episode 7 “Schemes of the Devil” (air date: April 27, 2014) began after Rachael disappeared. The news has been given by Pastor Tom (Mark Hildreth) to Bellamy and Dr. Maggie Langston (Devin Kelley). Bellamy asked Lucille (Frances Fisher) and Henry (Kurtwood Smith) for Jacob’s (Landon Gimenez) help. Unfortunately, Jacob doesn’t know where to locate Rachael unlike when he sensed Caleb (Sam Hazeldine) before.
Maggie, on the other hand, found new developments about the use of Jacob’s blood. She learned from Dr. Eric Ward (James Tupper) that it might cure Leukemia. It was revealed that he had been diagnosed with the disease and used his own blood for testing.
Jacob felt useless as he cannot help Bellamy find Rachael. It was just fortunate that he found a new friend in a girl named Jenny (Nadej k Bailey). He was unnoticed by the adults when he went to the playground to play with Jenny. A town search operation lead by his parents was held. When they finally found him, they learned from the 50’s attire of Jacob’s new friend that she was also resurrected.
Elsewhere, Rachael (Kathleen Monroe) was held captive by Gary (Kevin Sizemore) with the help of Carl and her other abductors. Bellamy, Tom and Sheriff Fred Langston (Matt Craven) tipped Carl about Rachael’s location. The men had a deadly stand-off and Gary shot Rachael. It turned out that she died again in Tom’s arms.
A rattled Fred was welcomed at the police department with grave news. Aside from Jenny and her family, the resurrections of deceased loved ones have increased critically. He had thought that his wife was one of them. In the end, he was mistaken and found Maggie who was crying. She had the idea about learning her mother’s previous location before she died. She found Barbara in the house of the man her mother had an affair with.
“Resurrection” Season 1 Episode 7 “Schemes of the Devil” ended with Bellamy finding Rachael alive and she was standing in the road.
