Someone is set to return on the upcoming Season 8 of NBC's “The Voice.” Can you guess who? Read on for the full details!
According to E! Online, Christina Aguilera is coming back as one of the coaches next season. That means we won’t be seeing Gwen Stefani next season, which is sad by the way, but we’re also happy that the new mommy is bouncing back and getting into that coach’s seat once again. She will be joining Pharell Williams, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
Aguilera appeared on the show’s seasons four, six and seven and during the seasons that she wasn’t around, it was Shakira and Stefani who replaced her. Just last August 2014, she welcomed her daughter, the Grammy-award winner’s second child Summer Rain Rutler.
The announcement was made by "The Voice" host Carson Daly.
“We are excited to welcome Christina back to her red chair and can’t wait to see how she mixes things up among Adam, Blake and Pharell, in what will be an incredibly competitive competition. These four talented artists are at the top of their game as musicians and as coaches. The mentoring is sure to be intense and the stakes will be high,” said Paul Telegdy said, alternative and late night programming president at NBC Entertainment.
“The Voice” Season 7 is currently holding its Battle Rounds together with other mentors picked by the coaches for each of their teams: Alicia Keys (Pharell), Stevie Nicks (Adam Levine), Little Big Town (Blake Shelton) and Gavin Rossdale (Gwen Stefani).
