"The Real Housewives of Atlanta" (RHOA) star Porsha Williams made the news this week due to her getting pulled over by a trooper for overspeeding at 78 mph in a 55-zone highway and winding up getting jailed for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
What does she have to say about her recent actions?
After being released upon posting bail, Williams went back later that day to co-hosting in Dish Nation and taking the chance to make her official statement and give further details on what really happened earlier that day.
“I was headed to visit my grandfather who is very ill with cancer in the hospital, and I was pulled over. I was wrong for speeding absolutely and apologize for putting anyone at risk. I tried to explain the situation to the officer and show him that all my paperwork was in order, but he refused. Handcuffs are not comfortable or a good look for anyone. I was released, I have my license, my car, and my freedom,” said Williams in a statement.
The next day, Williams uploaded a photo of herself in her car (probably the same one she was driving in when she got caught overspeeding) on Instagram, which she captioned with, “#SuchAPhuckingLady ✈️#StaceysGettingMarried.” Apparently, she is heading over to Florida for her publicist’s wedding.
The year 2014 seems to be giving Williams quite a number of not-so-memorable events. Just earlier this year, she made the news for attacking "RHOA" co-star Kenya Moore and later got herself arrested for Moore’s charges of misdemeanor battery. Williams also was "demoted" from her role in "RHOA," allegedly due to her fight with Moore, though this claim was already busted.
But things between her and Moore have already started to be good again. In the Dec. 28, 2014 episode of "RHOA," NeNe Leakes invited Cynthia Bailey, Moore and Williams in a night out, hoping to help clear out any problems between them and proceed smoothly with the rest of the season. Here, Moore and Williams talked things out and even hugged each other.
