Kanye West, Paul McCartney and Rihanna have joined forces in what the Rolling Stone called a “powerhouse ensemble” for “FourFiveSeconds.” The song, which was a single included in Rihanna’s still untitled studio album, was released on Jan. 24, 2015. Read on to learn more about it.
The official music video was posted on Rihanna’s YouTube channel on Feb. 3, 2015 and has gone viral, reaching to more than 18 million views. The video was shot in a monochromatic background with the three singers wearing denim, which the rapper Kanye West suggested.
“Kanye came up with the idea of just doing some real street, denim, all-American-type look,” Rihanna said in an interview about the making of the “FourFiveSeconds” music video. Rihanna also added that denim never goes out of style, like the Beatles. Billboard Hot 100 shows that “FourFiveSeconds” is taking over the charts, debuting at No. 54, and still continues to soar high.
The trio took the stage and performed at the Grammys 2015 in matching black suits to deliver “FourFiveSeconds’” debut. HollywoodLife.com called it the performance of the night and that the live rendition was so amazing. The three artists were Grammy Awards regulars, and there is indeed no wonder they were able to get the crowd on their feet.
