Rihanna might well be planning a revenge song against professional rival Taylor Swift, 25, after Swift seemingly targeted singer Katy Perry in her latest single “Bad Blood.” During the live stage performance, one of Swift’s backing performers held up a shark puppet, which caused an instant uproar on the internet. To know the reason for this, you might have to go back a few months to Katy Perry’s Superbowl Performance.
During the performance, one of Perry’s backing dancers dressed as a short, seemingly forgot the dance itself, leading to the performance getting slightly shadowed. If that’s not enough of conspiracy theories for the day, here’s one more; Perry allegedly stole three of Swift’s backing dancers for the big event!
Swift’s gesture of laughing at the shark puppet during “Bad Blood” was instantly related as a jibe at the mishap during Perry’s performance, and now, one of Perry’s star BFFs, Rihanna, has decided to take revenge for this act. Perry, 30, even tweeted during the Nicki Minaj vs Taylor Swift VMAs Twitter fight that it was “…ironic to parade the pit women against other women argument about as one unmeasurably capitalizes on the take down of a woman…”, clearly referring to Swift’s shark tale. Shots fired.
The “We Found Love” artist has now stepped into this celeb fight, vouching for her friend, and now intends to release a kind of a revenge track. OK! Magazine reports that Rihanna, 27, is quite protective of Katy Perry, and doesn’t approve of Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.” It seems she isn’t bothered with having some bad blood between them either.
We just hope all turns out well, and that there’s some sweet ending to this saga. Maybe a multi artist happy music video featuring Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Katy Perry would do the trick. Maybe throw in a bit of Nicki Minaj to the mix.
