Rihanna has just dropped a new single, her first in two years, and it features Kanye West and Paul McCartney. Read on to learn more about it.
The “Diamonds” diva expressed her excitement when she released her first ever single in two years, following her 2012 album,“Unapologetic.” The new song, “Four Five Seconds,” is a collaboration with Ye-Macca — Kanye West and Paul McCartney.
According to The Atlantic, Rihanna made a thrilled proclamation on Twitter the other day, sending her 39 million followers on point, looking for hints of her new music.

The percussionist collaboration features the “Umbrella” artist on vocals, with background guitar accompaniment provided by legendary Beatles member while West predictably supplies the rap lyrics part of the single.
While this is Rihanna’s first new release in two years after the success of “We Found Love” and “Where Have You Been,” McCartney and West have already released a single, “Only One.” It is dedicated to West’s daughter with Kim Kardashian, North.
The release of that first Ye-Macca collaboration prompted praises from the rapper’s fans, lauding him for “shining light on unknown artists.” It was despite McCartney having long achieved the status of musical legend and Beatles icon.
Rihanna, meanwhile, has been on hiatus and has recently won a $5 million lawsuit against British retailer Topshop, whom she filed a case in 2012 when the clothing company released pop culture-inspired sleeveless T-shirts. These merchandises bore an image of her face despite not having secured permission from the R&B artist.
“Four Five Seconds” is now available on iTunes.
