It’s not a secret anymore, Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw will be seen in the judge’s panel beside “X-Factor” show creator Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini. Some fans, however, were not happy with the announcement and have taken to Twitter to express their dismay.
“X Factor” fans have taken it on Twitter to post hate tweets against Rita Ora. Some even went far as saying: “Is Simon Cowell trying to kill ‘X Factor?'”
Looks like “X Factor” might lose some audience this season.
Nick Grimshaw, who hosts Radio 1’s breakfast show, replaced Louis Walsh, while pop star Rita Ora fills the fourth chair in replacement of former Spice Girl Mel B. Although, fans are gulping Nick Grimshaw onto the judge’s panel, nobody seems to spare Rita Ora who also came on as guest judge on “X Factor” in 2012. Fans are not happy by Rita Ora jumping from rival BBC show “The Voice.”
Nick Grimshaw and Rita Ora are close friends and their chemistry is supposed to be doing the magic. Even though, with the negative response from fans show-creator Simon Cowell has said that he has no idea about how the show will look like, he even has excitement and nervousness, both.
Simon Cowell tweeted, “It’s going to be very different! Embrace the madness.”
The line-up had been rumoured for months, before Simon Cowell confirmed it on June 16. Pop star and former “The Voice” coach Rita Ora and Radio One DJ Nick Grimshaw said that they are very excited to join the judge panel.
DJ Nick Grimshaw will reportedly be continuing his Radio 1’s breakfast show. He said that he has religiously followed “X Factor” and, music is his passion and job, he is excited to look for new talents. Grimshaw added, “I can’t wait for judges’ houses in Oldham!”
According to Cheryl Fernandez, the addition of Rita Ora and Nick Grimshaw is in the view to attract younger audience.
