Rob Kardashian was once close to his brother-in-law Lamar Odom. Now that Odom’s kidney is failing, Kardashian said that he’s ready to donate one of his kidneys to help save Odom’s life. Read on for more details.
Khloe’s younger brother, Rob Kardashian, reportedly said that he is ready to donate one of his kidneys in order to save the life of his brother-in-law, Lamar Odom. HollywoodLife.com reported that Odom currently needs a kidney transplant and it might take years before he could get one.
However, if his 28-year-old brother-in-law ends up being a compatible match, he might get it sooner. It will be recalled that Odom and Kardashian were once as close as brothers. Kardashian used to live at Odom’s house while the latter was still happily married with the former’s older sister.
A source told MailOnline that Kardashian is willing to do whatever it takes to help Odom recover. The insider also added that Kardashian has a big heart and is ready to step up to help his friend and brother-in-law. It is not sure yet if the two are a compatible match for a kidney transplant, but Kardashian is willing to undergo any medical tests to find it out.
On October 13, Odom has been found unconscious in a Nevada brothel. He has been on kidney dialysis after his reported drug overdose. He also suffered a dozen of strokes and his kidneys and lungs got damaged. And now, he needs a kidney transplant.
Rob Kardashian will have to undergo a series of tests in order to find out if he’s compatible with Lamar and if his kidneys are healthy enough for him to be able to donate one. Kardashian has been working hard to lose weight and his older sister, Kim, once said that he does not have a healthy lifestyle.
When asked about her brother during her interview with the Rolling Stone Magazine over the summer, Kim joked, “Do I think he smokes weed, drinks beer, hangs out and plays video games with his friends all day long? Yes.”
