Everyone has heard about the Lowe TV commercial controversy in the past and now latest scandal is related to his tweets related to the Paris attacks. The 51-year-old Lowe started by giving sympathies. Then he called out Francois Hollande, the President of France pertaining to his decision of closing borders.
Lowe wrote, “Vive La France! #Paris.” After this he tweeted again . He wrote, “Oh, NOW France closes its borders. #Hollande.” After this, he made another tweet in which he criticized President’s televised address. He wrote, “the worst translation of an important speech ever, or one of the worst ever given. #Hollande.”
As soon as people started reading his posts, “The Outsiders” star started receiving negative comments. People came and wrote that he was “heartless” and “insensitive”. A Twitter user also wrote, “Probably not the best time to be cracking jokes.” One of the users eloquently passed the message by writing, “Please Stop”.
The Golden Globe winner must have been perturbed by all this and chose to make some more tweets. His next tweet was, “Wow. For you trolls out there, the phrase ‘Vive La France’ is the traditional expression of SUPPORT for France. Don’t misinterpret my words.”
“The Grinder” star later tweeted that he had spent so much time in France and has been to the stadium too. He wrote that he was very sad because he loved that place. He also wrote, “#FrenchPrayers.”
It seems that 2015 is a year of scandals and controversies for Lowe. In early this year, Lowe’s Direct TV commercial was pulled off after Comcast’s complaint. Last year’s news also came that he was launching a Rob Lowe skin care line. Hope it goes well and he does not land into any controversy for it!
