Recently Robert Downey Jr. went on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show last Oct. 7, 2014. He was asked about the rumors for “Iron Man 4.” Read on for MNG’s report on “Iron Man,” sequel for further details.
According to Hollywood Life, the“Avengers” star confirmed that the follow-up was happening.
“I know there’s going to be a bunch more Marvel movies. And they have big ideas of how to do it best, and we’re in the middle of negotiation, blah, blah, blah…”answered Downey Jr.
Ellen pushed further by asking, “So yes?” to which Downey Jr. answered “Okay, yes.” Marvel Studios has yet to confirm that “Iron Man 4,” is on its schedule.
In a Reddit AMA, Downey also said, “Sooner than later the Marvel Roster will be made public and all questions will be answered.”
Just hours after sitting with Ellen, the magnificent Robert Downey Jr. appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman and do a volte face like as a favor of “Iron Man 4″ and also confirmed about it. He also talked comprehensively about the prospect of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
“There are no plans for Iron Man 4 … There’s no script for Iron Man 4, but [Marvel does] have a plan and I think they’re going to announce it – you know, they’re very secretive about it.”
He said “Yes,” and not the politically correct “Maybe.” Downey appeared on two separate talk shows to promote “The Judge.” “The Judge,” releases on Friday.
Just last month, Robert Downey Jr. confirmed that there were no plans for Iron Man 4 when Variety asked him the question while he was promoting his upcoming drama “The Judge,” at TIFF.
He was asked straightforwardly about whether or not another Iron Man sequel was in progress, and he unequivocally said, “There isn’t one in the pipe. No, there’s no plan for a fourth Iron Man.”
