A week has passed since the breaking news of Robert Downey Jr. signing up for “Captain America 3,” and we have yet to hear from any sides regarding such heavy-ridden speculations until the actor teases it during an interview with Yahoo! Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.
When actors sign on with Marvel, chances are, they only know what’s to come with their current project but not the next. We may call this blind but positive aspect of business in entertainment, but that’s how Marvel Studios keep their actors silent with what’s to come for their future projects. A week has passed since it was announced that "Iron Man" actor Robert Downey Jr. is on the final negotiations to sign up for the third installment of “Captain America.” This is basically what the entertainment industry has been speculating about for the past couple of days, especially with the very high possibility of the studio adapting the popular comic book plot, "The Civil War." However, there is still no actual confirmation coming from their reps that everything is now set in stone, but they can always make an exception to the one actor that made all of this happen — Robert Downey Jr. The actor made an indirect tease about his “Captain America 3” involvement, and it will only make everybody want to know more.
Screen Rant reports that the "Iron Man" actor made a statement during his interview with Yahoo! about his involvement in the upcoming “Captain America 3.” He might have been busy promoting his nonsuperhero family drama, “The Judge,” but questions about his Marvel Studio projects cannot just be set aside. When asked about his comments on the third installment of "Captain America," the actor simply smiled and teasingly said, “Yeah that sounds very exciting.” He did not comment any further, but continued, “If I do, I'll just regret it… it's gonna be huge… whatever it is.”
Downey Jr.'s comment may not really be much, but it’s enough for comic book fans and avid movie goers to be building their expectations upon on the slowly progressing production for “Captain America 3,” which is slated for released a year after “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” premiering on May 1, 2015.
