Ex-couple and “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have some “rants” about America, the Internet and their stardom. Read below for the full details.
During an interview with Elle France, as per MSN, Pattinson talked about the worst insult that he’s ever gotten and he said that the worst is being called an American. The 29-year old actor is British and he said that being one and hearing someone say that you’re American is like the worst insult ever. He told the magazine that he’s English and he may have lived in America but he’s back to London and he’s happy.
Pattinson takes pride and joy in the fact that when he’s in his homeland, no one bothers him, no one even bats an eye. He can enjoy his homeland by himself unlike in America where there are paparazzi everywhere and fans are all over him, asking to take pictures, grabbing him, etc.
He then blames the Internet for making fame a living hell particularly, the rise of social media, which has prevented people from making their lives really private. Everything’s out there and fans have been relying on the information they see online to get to where he is. He also admitted that there came a point in his life when he became paranoid that he didn’t go out of his house in LA.
Meanwhile, Stewart shares the same sentiment. During her interview with Nylon Magazine, as per E! News, she talked about how she still struggles with the fame that she has. Talking about having a personality that she really doesn’t have just to show what people expect of her, she said that life must have been greater with no Internet.
