As a form of retreat, Robin Williams is planning to go through a rehabilitation program after a 20-month long work project according to The Hollywood Reporter. Read on to know more about Movie News Guide’s (MNG) scoop about Williams’ voluntary visit to a renewal facility.

The actor has been transparent about his decade-long drinking problems and cocaine addiction. In the early eighties, Williams became drug dependent and needed professional intervention. Back in 2006, he had undergone rehabilitation treatment in Oregon because of uncontrollable drinking habit. But the 62-year-old clarified that his joining with the renewal facility now is not because of any present issues related to drugs or drinking.

The Daily Mail said in its report that Williams was seen in a place near Hazelden, digging a cup of Dairy Queen. The actor was seen looking healthy wearing slacks and a black top while posing with an employee of the ice cream house for a photo.

Apparently, his treatment does not prevent him from posting tweets. According to Daily Mail, he tweeted a photo of himself next to a football fanatic Mike Damico a.k.a. Teddy Goalsevelt. In the photo, the actor looked like his character in the movie “Night at the Museum,” Teddy Roosevelt. Hence, the caption of the image that Williams posted was “Two Teddys. One Goal…” This is good news to the actor’s fans because it only means that he is in good shape to have been able to watch the World Cup.

The Hollywood Reporter reported Williams has chosen to stay at a renewal center managed by professionals in health care in Minnesota called Dan Anderson Renewal Center. The center’s website describes the institution as a renewal facility that offers 12-step-reatreat program, specializing in spiritual and emotional health, strengthening relationships, meditation and managing grief.

The actor is staying for a number of weeks at the facility after completing several projects. This year he made the movie “Boulevard” together with Kathy Baker and another one titled “The Angriest Man in Brooklyn” with actress Mila Kunis. He will also be seen in the movie “Merry Friggin’ Christmas.”

That’s it about Robin William’s rehabilitation. Check out Movie News Guide (MNG) regularly for more updates about your favorite actors, movies and television shows.
