What’s not to like about the ‘Pitch Perfect’ star Anna Kendrick. She’s funny, smart, witty and obsessed? In an interview with MTV News, the actress revealed that she was and still is obsessed with “Lord of the Rings”. She is known to do events like annual marathons of the extended editions, that’s how passionate she is about it. In this little write up, we take a look at some of the characters Anna could have nailed, had she been a part of the franchise.
According to Bustle, who compiled a list of roles that the actress could play if the “Hobbit” trilogy was not a male-dominated story, there are a range of roles that the actress could have been brilliant in. The first one being Belladonna Took, Bilbo Baggins’ loving mother. It is said that Belladonna Took married Bungo Baggins and they had a child who grew up to be Bilbo. Second role that the actress could have looked good in would be Lobelia, who was Bilbo’s cousin. She is not known to be a prominent character because she is said to be greedy but because of some of her actions, she is considered as a sort of aggressive characters in the franchise.
The third character that would go well would be Gollum’s grandmother. Gollum was a stoor Hobbit who used to live with his grandmother by the river. It is said that they used to steal eggs from the nests nearby. Whatever Gollum’s story is, it is indeed pivotal to the entire story. Fourth preference for the actress is a bit different from her actual personality. Known to be a chirpy actress, it would have been quite different to see Anna in the role of the Female Spider. Remember when Bilbo goes in the woods with the dwarfs and is attacked by a Spider? We can’t say how the portrayal would have been, but had she played the role, she would have looked unique in it. Well all set and done, the actress has other amazing work to her credit, the latest being “Pitch Perfect 2.” If there are any other characters that you think the actress could have played in the franchise, let us know in the comments.
