Basketball badboy Ron Artest is reportedly in talks to join the reality dance competition “Dancing With the Stars” for the upcoming season to air this fall.
Artest’s participation in the competition could come with one schedule snag – “Dancing With the Stars” airs until November, while the NBA season begins in October. Artest plays for the Los Angeles Lakers.
The show’s producers, however, have been reportedly recruiting hard to get more recognizable stars on the show this season to renew viewer interest, so they are offering more incentives. One of the most appealing is the omission of a minimum number of rehearsal hours per week for the participating stars. This is good news for Artest, as he would be able to balance his basketball career and the show for a month or two if needed.
The upcoming 13th season of “Dancing With the Stars” is set to premiere on September 19 on ABC.
