Just who is Paul Revere? The show, which was first announced as under development last March 2014, has found the actor to play him. Ron Livingston (“Band of Brothers”) will play the title role in the half-hour comedy “We Hate Paul Revere.” Read further to know more about this show.

“We Hate Paul Revere” will feature two brothers named Hugh and Ebnedezer Moody who do not support Paul Revere, a revolutionary industrialist and activist. The brothers particularly hate the guy because his ideas for development always dominate theirs. It doesn’t help that Revere is also pompous and self-important. The show will be set in Colonial America, specifically in the Boston area.

Ethan Sandler and Adrian Wenner, who both worked on the TBS comedy “My Boys,” will play the brothers. The two are also going to write and produce “We Hate Paul Revere.” Mark Piedmont (“Saturday Night Live”) has been tasked to direct the pilot episode, with principal production set to begin in August in Los Angeles according to Variety. AMC Studios will be producing the show alongside Troy Miller’s Dakota Films production.

Ron Livingston, known in Hollywood as affable and likeable, the complete opposite of his character, Paul Revere, is most noted for his work in the film “Office Space.” On television, he played Berger, Carrie Bradshaw’s noncommitting boyfriend in “Sex and the City,” which aired on HBO. The actor was also part of the award-winning HBO miniseries “Band of Brothers,” playing the snarky intelligence officer Capt. Lewis Nixon. He joined the fourth season of “Boardwalk Empire” as Roy Phillips.  In 2006, Livingston starred in the one-season procedural police series “Standoff” where he met his wife, actress Rosemarie Dewitt. The two have been married since 2009.

The actor has just wrapped up a short theater production of “August: Osage Country” with his wife for the L.A. Theater Works. His film “Shangri-la Suite,” where he tackled the role of Elvis Presley, is already in post-production, and he is set to do the movie “Fort Bliss” with Michelle Monaghan next.

There you have it for the latest update on “We Hate Paul Revere,” with Ron Livingston playing the titular role of Paul Revere. It is tentatively set for airing in 2015 on AMC. Follow updates about this show by regularly checking Movie News Guide (MNG).
