Sam Smith just posted a photo of his new boyfriend Jonathan Zeizel on Instagram. And you know what they say- it’s not official unless it’s social media official.
Weeks after reports confirmed that the singer is dating his backup dancer, the 22-year-old posted this photo on Instagram, simply with the caption “Lol x.”
The cute couple even re-enacted one of the most iconic scenes from “Titanic”, the one where Leonardo DiCaprio is holding Kate Winslett at the front of the ship. The photo was captioned, “I’m flying Jack, I’m flying.”
Not to be outdone, Jonathan also posted a couple selfie on his Instagram page.
As previously reported by Out, the photos were taken during their vacation on Australia. Sam and Jonathan was spotted celebrating New Year’s Eve together with a couple of close friends in Sydney.
The Grammy nominee met the love of his life during the shoot of his “Like I Can” music video. In December, he revealed to The Sun, that they were still in the “very very early days” of their relationship.
“He’s really sweet, he was one of 20 extras,” Sam shared.
Back then, he was even unsure if the two of them were actually dating.
“It’s a surreal thing to be talking about because I haven’t even confirmed with him that we’re officially seeing each other,” he added.
In an interview with The Fader, the 22-year-old revealed that he has actually never been in a serious relationship before Jonathan. Not where his feelings were reciprocated, at least.
“I’ve only been in unrequited relationships where people haven’t loved me back. I guess I’m a little bit attracted to that in a bad way,” said Smith in the Fader interview.
Sam can definitely put the past behind. We’re happy that the British crooner has finally found someone. Six Grammy nominations and a new man in his life, a guy could not ask for more.
What can you say about the budding romance between Sam Smith and Jonathan Zeizel? Have you seen their couple selfie on Instagram?
