Are you missing Carrie Bradshaw on TV? “Sex and the City” fans adored her as the shoe-loving writer. Bradshaw was played by Sarah Jessica Parker. And yes, the star returns to TV! However, it doesn’t involve New York, Mr. Big and shoes but something entirely different. Read on to learn more about Sarah Jessica Parker as she returns to TV.
According to ET Online, the “Sex and the City” star is set to star in a thriller based on the novel, “Busted: A Tale of Corruption and Betrayal in the City of Brotherly Love” by Wendy Ruderman and Barbara Laker.
The show revolved around Ruderman’s and Laker’s efforts to solve one of the biggest police corruption scandals in Philadelphia and Parker’s role in this is one of the women in the story.
David Frankel (“The Devil Wears Prada”) will direct the pilot for the series and it will be written by Don Roos (“The Opposite of Sex”). However, before you get so excited about this show, no network has picked up the series yet, which means that the TV series is being showcased to various cable and broadcast networks as of the moment. Also, the show aims for a cable-style order but if ever a broadcast network picks the TV series, it won’t be so bad either.
As of the moment, there is no word yet who’s going to play opposite Parker but one thing’s for sure, though, we are going to see her on the small screen soon enough and even if it doesn’t involve her talking about sex, falling in love and spending time with her best friends, we know it’s going to be amazing.
This marks Parker’s first return to TV since her HBO hit “Sex and the City.” We did see her in three episode of “Glee” in 2012, though.
