Heads up, “Scandal” gladiators! ABC’s top-rating “Scandal” has been the sole inspiration for an upcoming clothing line from The Limited. Also, there’s a chance that Emmy-nominated actress Kerry Washington and costume designer Lyn Paolo might share some of their creative juices for the project! Who wouldn’t want that? Check out our latest scoop on the upcoming “Scandal”-inspired Fall fashion collaboration with The Limited.

Women’s Wear Daily (WWD) first reported that Kerry Washington who plays the role of Olivia Pope and the show’s costume designer Lyn Paolo, will launch a partnership alongside The Limited. The upcoming “Scandal”-inspired fashion collection will also mark the clothing company’s first Hollywood collaboration.

The collection will be readily available in The Limited starting on September 22, 2014. All pieces included in the line would be shown in The Limited retail stores and its official online store. The prices of the line’s fashion pieces will start at $49.

Washington also said to WWD that it was quite an experience “to have a voice at every stage of production.” She also shared that she is a fan of several notable fashion houses such as Armani, Jason Wu and Alexander Wang.

“We weren’t inspired by any designers in particular because they are all original pieces that are authentic to the character and the world of the show. Personally, I have tons of favorite designers. I don’t gravitate toward any one designer because I think of fashion as the costume of the everyday woman.” said Washington in the WWD article.

The Hollywood Reporter also posted about Washington’s statement regarding the “Scandal”-inspired collection. Washington said that it will be a way to channel the looks from the show especially for the “real-life gladiators and everyday fashionistas.”

It seems that it’s only a matter of time before Olivia Pope’s eye for White House fashion will soon invade the fashion racks. Washington’s fixer alter ego has finally gotten the attention of fashion-forward viewers since the show started in 2012. For three seasons, Pope has been known for her role as the fixer for the most complex problems of the fictional U.S. government. Her ability to channel her power and confidence through her clothing continues to inspire fashion designers in some of today’s fashion trends. Despite being a fictional character, TIME previously named Olivia Pope as the second most influential character in 2013.

Olivia’s notable fashion ensembles made noise in the fashion industry, thanks to the designer Lyn Paolo. She is known for her works for “West Wing” and “Shameless.” According to Zap2it, Paolo wanted Olivia to stand out in a male-dominated world of governance, but with a remaining touch of being feminine. Paolo successfully took a fashion risk in using light pastel colors rather than opting for the usual gray or black tones, using both designer and local brands together.

Moreover, The Limited CEO Diane Ellis praised Washington’s character for being an epitome of “a confident, powerful, but real and kind of vulnerable woman.” Ellis also said that it’s something that their clients and patrons can relate to. She shared that Olivia Pope channels how she handles her problems and career while making sure that she’s still fabulous.

And that’s it for the Scandal-inspired Fall fashion collaboration with The Limited! Kerry Washington and costume designer Lyn Paolo will co-create the line. It will debut on September 22, 2014.
