“Scandal”  Season 3 Episode 12 “We Do Not Touch the First Ladies” comes back with a bang and is here to stay for quite a while!

After the successful run of the most-awaited episode (Episode 11 “Ride, Sally, Ride”) on ABC on Feb. 27, 2014, , “Scandal”  is back again for the Season 3 Episode 12 “We Do Not Touch the First Ladies” after hibernating for the  winter break in order to make way for the real-life Olivia Pope a.k.a. Kerry Washington’s pregnancy.

TV Line reported on Dec. 6, 2013 that “Scandal” will have  a shortened Season 3, with only 18 episodes instead of the usual 22 because of Pope’s pregnancy.  E! Online also revealed that Washington and her husband, 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, are actually expecting their first child in the Spring of 2014.

“Scandal” stars Kerry Washington as Olivia Pope, Tony Goldwyn as President Fitzgerald Grant, Columbus Short as Harrison Wright, Scott Foley as Captain Jacob “Jake” Ballard, Guillermo Diaz as Huck, Katie Lowes as Quinn Perkins, Bellamy Young as Mellie Grant, Darby Stanchfield as Abby Whelan, Jeff Perry as Cyrus Beene and Joshua Malina as David Rosen.

According to a press release posted on Spoiler TV, “Scandal” Episode 12 We Do Not Touch the First Ladies” will feature an important Presidential event which will cause President Fitzgerald Grant or Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) to come to terms with the cold, hard truth. It will also bring about jealousies and old feelings.

Meanwhile, Leo Bergen (Paul Adelstein) will set up a meeting between an old friend and Vice President Sally Langston (Kate Burton).

As for Quinn Perkins (Katie Lowes), she wants to prove herself to B613 and will try hard to do so.

“Scandal” Season 3 Episode 12 “We Do Not Touch the First Ladies” was directed by Oliver Bokelberg and written by Heather Mitchell.

From the cast live-tweeting in selected countries to the hilarious telenovela skit, “Scandal” has indeed risen from its slumber as one of the most watched TV shows in the U.S and other countries.

According to E! Online, a blooming, mother-to-be Kerry Washington shared in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel that everyone enjoyed taking part in the live tweeting from the set with the South African audience on their first episode.

“Scandal” is known for having a large and encouraging fan base in the Twittersphere whom the cast and crew “tweet-watch” with every Thursday.

The Hollywood Reporter wrote that the show experienced a “growth spurt” not only in the number of viewers, but also on Twitter. It was reported that their Jan. 31, 2013 episode entitled “Truth or Consequences” (Season 2, Episode 12) generated 2,200 tweets per minute! Still not impressed?
