Read on to learn more about this episode.
The episode picked up from where it left off, with Walter O’Brien’s (Elyes Gabel) car dangling off the side of a cliff.
Eight hours later, Happy Quinn (Jadyn Wong) began to look for a new job, while Paige Dineen (Katharine McPhee) got Ralph Dineen (Riley B. Smith) ready for their weekend trip to Portland. Meanwhile, Agent Cabe Gallo (Robert Patrick) decided to resign from Homeland Security altogether. Paige then tried to call Walter, and told him off, as he wasn’t answering Ralph’s phone calls, as Ralph had just wanted to say goodbye to him.
Meanwhile, at the garage, Toby Curtis (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Sylvester Dodd (Ari Stidham) became worried that Walter was not picking up his phone, and was missing. While they traced his phone, Happy called Paige and told her that it was her fault that Walter was missing.
They then infiltrated Richard Elia’s (Andy Buckley) meeting, via the vents, in order to get the VIN number of the car he had given Walter. Afterwards, the team tracked it to the road where Walter had careened off from, and after calling his phone, they realized that his car was dangerously perched on the side of the cliff. After yelling his name several times, Walter woke up and answered the phone. They then told him to keep still as police and rescue units were on their way, and Happy used her birthday present to Sylvester- a drone, to which they mounted a camera on, to properly assess his situation, which was not good, as the guardrail had impaled him, and was dangerously close to the spleen. Walter then began to ask for both Paige and Ralph.
As the police arrested Toby and Happy after they refused to listen to them, Sylvester called in Cabe, who flashed is scuba certification at them as he no longer worked for Homeland.
While Happy worked on the rescue equipment for the team that would rescue Walter from below, Cabe asked some uniforms to pick up Paige and Ralph. However, when they got there, Paige and Ralph had already left for the airport. However, Ralph was reluctant to leave as he felt that something was wrong with Walter.
Walter then apologized to Cabe for his behavior, as he knew that Cabe would never have deliberately hurt him. He then told him that the reason why the grass at his daughter’s grave was always healthy was because he had hacked into the sprinkler system and made sure it got watered twice a day.
After noticing that a fire had broke put in the engine, Happy fashioned a dart out of a syringe and shot it out using a water hose in order to drain the oil so that the fire would not spread. Afterwards, Walter leaned back to compensate for the weight, which caused the car to move forward, and caused the guard rail to come out. This caused him to bleed out as it had hit his artery. Toby then instructed him to heat Elia’s silver pen using the cigarette lighter, and told him to press it against his spleen in short bursts to cauterize it to stop the bleeding. While he did so, he talked to Toby about an adventurous weekend they had in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, Paige sped back with Ralph to the scene, after seeing Walter’s predicament on the news.
Walter then tried to reminisce with Happy who refused to listen, and concentrated in making a harness for Cabe so that he could go down and pull Walter out, as Cabe would be strapped to a crane that Happy had stolen. This meant that Walter would have to open the passenger door, which caused his collarbone to snap. To make matters worse, a crow had landed on the hood, which meant that if it flew away, the car would fall.
As Cabe was getting hooked to the crane, Walter began to tell Cabe to give Paige a message. Paige then arrived just as the crow flew away, causing the car to tilt even more forward. Thankfully, Cabe got him out just in time, before the car fell down the cliff.
At the hospital, while waiting, Elia came to check on Walter and offered the entire team a job at his company, which Paige declined, which meant that she was no longer going to Portland.
After visiting Walter, Sylvester went to inform Walter’s sister about Walter’s current condition and Paige asked Happy to babysit Ralph for a while. Happy then asked Toby to babysit with her, which he agreed to.
Paige then went back to Walter’s room, where Walter was sleeping, as he had been given morphine. She then admitted his feelings for him and kissed him on the cheek.
