Whoa, fan girl alert! Ariana Grande just got a tweet back from none other than Madonna herself.

Like a true blue fan, the “Problem” singer took to Twitter to thank Madonna for the gift of six new releases from her “Rebel Heart” album just in time for Christmas. Grande got the surprise of a lifetime when the original Material Girl replied, “‪@arianagrande‪ You've been such a good girl this year I wanted to give you something special #RebelHeart.”

The pint star diva was quick to retweet Madonna’s reply and posted, “if you're wondering if i'm dying / my heart is jumping out of my chest i am / it is.”

Well, isn’t she just the cutest?

With this adorbale Twitter exchange, fans were quick to speculate about the possibility of the two collaborating for a single.

An insider told HollywoodLife.com that a number of singers expressed interest in working with Grande, Madonna herself included. The Queen of Pop was reportedly aware of how successful the 21-year-old is, given her first ever Grammy nominations, sold out concerts and over 22 million followers.

The admiration is mutual as Grande called Madonna her "idol" in an interview with V Magazine.

“I just love how [Madonna] stands up for what she believes in and surprises people by not eff-ing up when they want her to so badly. Madonna has always surprised people and she has always had her head on straight,” she gushes

Arianators might be pleased to know that the collaboration is not actually a far-fetched idea. After all, Nicki Minaj just sang a verse in one of Madonna’s recent tracks called “Bitch, I’m Madonna.”  Early this year, Madonna also performed with a younger artist, Miley Cyrus, for “MTV Unplugged,” where they sang a medley of their hit songs “Don’t Tell Me” and “We Can’t Stop.”
