Selena Gomez Has a New Movie With Paul Rudd; Gives Up Singing Career?

Selena Gomez and Paul Rudd are doing a movie together! So that’s why the two have been spotted hanging out.

According to Perez Hilton, the cute duo will be starring on “The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving.” The new movie, based on Jonathan Evison’s hit novel, talks about the story of a caregiver (Paul Rudd) and his special relationship with a teenage boy that has an “advanced stage of Duchenne muscular dystrophy.” This is where Gomez comes in as she plays the feisty love interest of Trevor in the much-awaited film.

It seems like Gomez has taken quite an interest in making films again. Last year, the 22-year-old showed off her acting chops in the film “Rudderless” with Billy Crudup. Director William H. Macy was reportedly so proud of the singer’s professionalism and how she registered on screen.

Could this mean that Gomez is going to focus on being an actress than a singer?

“I’ve got a few surprises coming up. Within the next two months I think people will be seeing some stuff that I’ve been working on the past year,” she told ET in October.

We totally cannot wait what else the singer has in store for us this 2015. Apart from her comeback to the big screen, she’s also busy finishing up her new album following the success of her hit song “The Heart Wants What It Wants.”

An insider from claims her new album would totally be different from the Selena we are used to.

“She wants to gear things more toward Ariana Grande and EDM,” the source revealed on
