Selena Gomez has played a superb stroke by dropping her hot new single “Good For You” on iTunes on June 22, which has been ranked no. 1 surpassing Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood.”
The track featuring rapper A$AP Rocky was officially released on Sunday on Gomez’s Vevo channel. The sultry track has already made gigantic waves in the minds of the fans within a few hours and recorded highest scores on the global music charts of iTunes performance.
“We actually had a little bit of a journey picking the first single for the album because this is such a transition album for me,” Gomez said to MTV News. She also revealed that she recorded “Good For You” in just 45 minutes and was “creatively involved” in the “writing process.”
After the release of “The Heart Wants What It Wants” on Nov. 6, 2014, which was a huge hit, Gomez released “I Want You To Know” on February 23, 2015 with Zedd, a Russian-German musician and DJ. The song received a moderate rank on the music charts. However, it was reported that the lovers ended their relationship after its release and never came across at one podium for live performances.
Gomez was first featured on “Barney & Friends,” the children’s television series in the early 2000s. She also made a guest appearance in the Disney series “The Suite Life of Zack & Cody” in 2006.
A fashion line titled “Dream out Loud by Selena Gomez” Junior Fashion was launched by Gomez in 2010. She has earlier also worked with several charitable organizations including UNICEF for several years. She is also known for releasing self-titled perfume in 2011.
