Due to her obsession with her social networking sites, she doesn’t know anymore how to make friends in real life. She asked the help of her coworker, Henry (John Cho), to help her out.
The story will be very similar to “Pygmalion” and “My Fair Lady,” but with a modern take on things. Now this makes the show much more interesting to watch. We’re getting really excited!
“Selfie” hasn’t aired yet, but the show has already needed defense during the Televisions Critics Association’ summer press tour, wherein the title of the show was intensely discussed as many critics worry that the show’s title may become outdated as the series run. However, executive producer Emily Kapnek (“Suburgatory:) said that this is the least of her concerns.
“’Selfie’ is very provocative word. For us, it really speaks to the disease that Eliza has. It becomes a descriptive word for us. It felt natural to keep it as the title of the show,” said Kapnek in the press conference, as published in TV Line.
