Shahrukh Khan, Indian superstar and heart throb is coming back once again with his “DDLJ” co-star Kajol. The couple is known for their wonderful on-screen chemistry in the iconic film “DDLJ” which is the longest running film of Bollywood. The duo is coming back with Rohit Shetty’s directorial musical action “Dilwale”. With a prominent fan following, it is speculated that it will give a nice competition to “Star Wars” at the UK box-office.
According to the Independent, “Dilwale” becomes more special as it reunites the magical couple Shahrukh Khan and Kajol after five years. It is speculated that the movie will cross $15 million during its opening weekend. The UK has a tremendous fan following for 50-year-old Khan and is said to be a favourable territory for the star.
There have been no details revealed about the story line of “Dilwale” to avoid pre-conceived thoughts of comparison from their earlier starred films. The film is directed by Rohit Shetty, who has earlier worked with Khan in “Chennai Express”. It was the third highest grossing film in the UK, which implies that “Diwale” for sure will get a wonderful response.
In an interview, Khan stated that when he heard the script for the first time, he felt that it was a woman centric film and Kajol should be pulled in. On being asked about the success of “DDLJ”, he stated that the movie has successfully completed the milestone of 1,000 weeks at Maratah Mandir Cinema, it is just the right film.
Shahrukh Khan has already toured the UK for the promotion of “Dilwale” and got a tremendous response. Holly Willoughby and Eamonn Holmes interviewed and praised him for his charisma as stated by IB Times.
“Dilwale” is slated to release on 18 December 2015.
