Despite her baby bump growing bigger as her delivery date draws near, Shakira still shows her charitable side as she and her boyfriend Gerard Pique host a virtual baby shower led by UNICEF for the benefit of poor people all over the globe.
In her Twitter account, Shakira posted a photo of her and Pique, taken in such a way that she showed off her huge baby bump. The photo’s accompanying caption said, “Our second son arrives soon. We invite you to join our #WorldBabyShower for @UNICEF at http://worldbabyshower.org/ Shak”

Other photos related to the baby shower showed the couple with their eldest son Milan in a cute family photo. Another showed Shakira cradling her baby bump while holding a large balloon.
Aside from this, Shakira also took to her Facebook account to encourage her followers in doing their part for the benefit of others. Here, she placed a video launching their project and of the accomplishments of the last baby shower
UNICEF’s World Baby Shower was first hosted by the couple in 2012, while Shakira was pregnant of Milan. Thanks to it, many more health and nutrition projects were successfully completed by 2013. According to the World Baby Shower’s website, among the accomplishments fulfilled were the distribution of therapeutic food, polio vaccines, and oral rehydration salt sachets and of insecticide-treated mosquito nets and portable scales.
According to Us Weekly, Shakira accidentally let it slip that she was expecting a baby boy in Cosmopolitan’s Spanish edition. She also revealed last April 2014 that if she hadn’t been so busy with her music projects, she would have been pregnant already.
“I would love to have eight or nine kids with Gerard — my own futbol team,” Shakira remarked.
