Homeland” Season 4 ended with Carrie Mathieson (Claire Danes) having lost almost everything that’s important in her life: her father, Quinn and her faith in her mentor, Saul. Showtime’s action drama is going on a time jump to 2 years after Season 4, which will see Carrie’s life after being a part of the CIA. Read below for the details:

The first trailer for “Homeland” Season 5 is action-packed and fast-paced. Carrie has left the US for Berlin while she and Mandy Patinkin’s Saul Berenson has an emotional conversation. Now, Carrie is working as the head of security for a German philanthropist but of course, it wouldn’t be “Homeland” if Carrie doesn’t get drawn into the intelligence world and judging from the trailer, she will.

However, Carrie will find herself torn: will she go back to that world or just leave it be? Knowing Carrie, she will take the former rather than the latter. Carrie’s life is all about the CIA.

This “Homeland” Season 5 teaser may only be 30-second long but it did give us a rather good sneak peak on what’s to come to our favorite former CIA agent and her partnership with her mentor, Saul.

This “Homeland” trailer also revealed that as much as Carrie wants to start a new life, away from everything “CIA” it will always come back to haunt her as she is meant to be there after all. Currently, filming is underway and no premiere date has been announced yet.
