The sequel to the horror film that made the viewers forgo every hidden home movie they come across to, “Sinister 2” is set to hit the theaters on August 21, 2015. Read further to learn more about this scoop.
The fans of the “Sinister” movie can now prepare themselves for a movie length of scares. “Sinister 2” will be taken under the directorial wing of Ciaran Foy, who is known for his work in the movie “Citadel.” The film will still be under the production companies Blumhouse Pictures and Entertainment One.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the sequel’s storyline and screenplay is written by the first movie’s director, Scott Derrickson, together with C. Robert Cargill. Basically, the duo were also the people behind the imaginative and horrifying works of the first movie, but for this second film, they felt the need to step back and have someone assume the directorial position. It’s all mainly due to the fact that Derrickson is actively working in the production of Marvel’s “Doctor Strange.”
“Sinister” created an original horror movie that made its viewers cover their eyes and jump on their seats. With that, the second installment is ridden with high expectations and surrounded by cynical attributions. In the questions posted by Screen Rant, could it be possible that the movie will only serve as an echo of the first film? Will the production only be changing location this time around with a different set of characters being tormented? A lot of the viewers are hoping to get more elaboration on the horror figure’s mythology. In that way, the story line would appear to be more logical and mind bogglingly eerie at the exact same time. Be that as it may, there are still no further updates on the story line of the movie, but one thing is clear, the pagan deity Bughuul will be returning with hopefully more baffling and disturbing “Sinister” acts.
In HitFix’s report, there are still no updates on the possible casts of the sequel, but the people behind the works of the movie are set in stone. Jason Blum of Blumhouse will be producing “Sinister 2” with Scott Derrickson. The executive producers are Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Charles Layton, along with eOne’s Xavier Marchand and Patrice Theroux. All behind Focus Features, Deadline stated that this horror film is actually positioned to oppose Warner Bros. romantic comedy “Me Before You.”
