Meri Brown of “Sister Wives” fame has hit by a fake online relationship or we should say ‘catfished’ in a relationship which started emotionally online. Brown recently spoke about the same in the media. She told that she was involved in an online affair emotionally assuming that the person with whom she is talking is man, but later she came to know that she was talking to a woman. Read on.
Brown, who divorced her husband polygamist Kody Brown in the finale of “Sister Wives” to give him a chance to marry fourth time, clarified that the online relationship was purely emotional as she never met that person face to face. She also revealed that the reason behind going into the hands of an online affair was the issues she was facing in her own life and she is sharing her story so that no other person will be trapped in such situation.
While talking to People magazine, Marie said, “During an emotional and vulnerable time earlier this year, I began speaking with someone online who turned out to be not who they said they were.” She further stated, “I never met this person and I regret being drawn into this situation, but I hope because of it I can help others who find themselves in similar circumstances.”
The 44-year-old Brown also informed about how her family supported her during this fake encounter and she really regrets about the same.
“Throughout this ordeal, my family has supported and stood by me. I am grateful to them for their love and strength through this difficult time.” Brown told People Magazine.
Well, we cannot change the past, so the best way to tackle such situation is to focus on the present and prepare for the future. So, as a well-wisher to Brown, we will suggest her to forget this incident and be a strong person.
