Six New “Twilight” Short Films Revealed

Six new “Twilight” short films have been revealed for “The Storytellers: New Voices of the Twilight Saga” project, where female writers and directors will submit original shorts and stories set and based on the characters from the Twilight Saga universe. Read on for more details of this story.

In a report by Entertainment Weekly (EW),  six stories have been picked as finalists for “The Storytellers: New Voices of the Twilight Saga” project, a collaboration between Lionsgate, Women In Film, Facebook, Volvo, and Twilight author Stephenie Meyer which will give the fans the chance to make their own Twilight short films featuring the world and characters of the Twilight Saga. The grand prize winner in the contest will have the opportunity to shadow a director in an upcoming Lionsgate film and a new 2015 Volve XC90.

EW reveals six winners from 1,200 submissions of the contestants for the competition’s screenplay writing portion, check them out below.

  • “We’ve Met Before” by Thea Green is all about Alice and Jasper’s first meeting.
  • “Turncoats” by Lindsey Hancock Williamson is about Garrett and Carlisle during the Revolutionary War.
  • “Consumed” by Cullyn Doerfler and Megan L. Reese tells Jane and Alec’s story.
  • “Sunrise” by Alanna Smith tells Benjamin’s story.
  • “The Groundskeeper” by Sarah Turi Boshear follows the events that led to Alice becoming a vampire.
  • “The Mary Alice Brandon File” by Kailey and Sam Spear, a story about Alice before she became a vampire.

The competition for the directing and short film portion continues with the winners to be announced later on.
