Bruce Jenner tell-all interview conducted by Diane Sawyer ended rumors going around about his transition from male to female.

The interview lasted for two hours and how people saw him depends on the generation when he was born. For those who knew him in the 70s, Jenner was an Olympic gold medalist champion and was hailed the greatest athlete in the world. This was after his victory during a decathlon games in Montreal in 1976.

Meanwhile, for the younger generation, he is the father of the Kardashian brood and a cast in reality TV show, “Keeping Up With The Kardashians”.

However, Bruce Jenner’s dramatic change was made public after the 65-year-old admitted that he is transgender. The interview held on Friday was the last before Bruce finally transitioning to a woman he referred to as “her”, reported The Telegraph.

After the interview, we learned that Bruce Jenner has always been confused about his gender identity even when he was still a child. He said that he used his mother and sister’s dresses while growing up in Tarrytown. He also admitted that he has 2 wardrobes in his Malibu home, one for Bruce and the other for “her”. Bruce Jenner also said that his older sons have already met “her” and that his other children and stepchildren have been supportive of his decision, particularly Kim Kardashian whom he fondly calls “Kimberly”.

During the interview, Bruce Jenner admitted that he didn’t play fair to the three women he married. However, Jenner said he struggled to them all. His first marriage with wife Chrystie lasted for 9 years while his second marriage with Linda Thompson lasted for 5 years. His last marriage with Kris Jenner was the longest, running for 23 years.

Contrary to popular belief, Bruce Jenner isn’t gay. This was after he said that sexual orientation and gender are two different things. The interviewer, Sawyer, was quite baffled when Jenner gave these remarks. He further explained that sexual desire is who you choose to go to bed with while gender is who you go to bed as. Sawyer then asked Jenner if he ever had sexual encounters with a man or if he sees himself marrying another woman. Jenner replied, “I just want a free soul and a lot of great friends”.

Bruce Jenner started his transition into a woman in the 80s after his second marriage fell apart. This was also the time when he started taking female hormonal pills like estrogen. He said it helped him combat his daily fears and frustration. He also underwent surgery to alter his nose shape as well as electrolysis to take out his beard and hair chest. However, he stopped the transition after thinking how the future of his four children would be affected by his choice.

Meanwhile, he is now planning to fully change after publicly coming out. Bruce had a tracheal shave to decrease the appearance of his Adam’s apple. Apart from that, enhanced his lips and also underwent eye surgery. When asked about undergoing sexual reassignment surgery, he replied “that would be down the line”. His goals to be a woman are very modest, including being able to wear nail polish that would last long enough before chipping off.

Lastly, we found out that he is Republican. Bruce Jenner said that although he appreciates the fact that Barack Obama was the first U.S. President to say the word “transgender”, he was never a big fan. He said that if the Republican Party would be able to push on the transgender cause, he would be more than willing to be part of them.
