The biographical political flick “Snowden” is under development and is directed by “Midnight Express” fame Oliver Stone. The film is an adaptation of the book written by Luke Harding featuring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley in the lead roles. Woodley rose to fame with the ABC series of “The Secret Life of the American Teenager.” Read on to find out more interesting revelation about the role of Shailene Woodley in “Snowden” ahead.
The political thriller is based on the real story of Edward Snowden, a former CIA employee who allegedly leaked classified information to a British national daily in the year 2013. 23-year-old Woodley is starred as Edward Snowdens’ love interest Lindsay Mills in the movie.
It is further revealed that Mills graduate from Maryland Institute College of Art and worked as a pole dancer as well as an acrobat. To match up the characterization, Woodley is said to have learned pole dancing and is speculated to show off some dance moves sequence in “Snowden.”
During the shooting schedule in Hawaii, Woodley was spotted with musician Nahko Bear, frontman of music group “Nahko and Medicine for the People.” She was not just spotted, she was in fact seen getting cozied up with the musician. In fact, the musicians’ sister posted a picture of Shailene Woodley and her speculated boyfriend.
Along with Shailene Woodley the film also stars Melissa Leo, Tom Wilkinson, Rhys Ifans and Nicolas Cage in important roles. “A River Runs Through It” actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt is going to appear in the lead role of Edward Snowden in the movie.
“Snowden” is slated to release in 2016.
