Song Hye-kyo wasted no time when Song Joong-ki was dragged into the Park Yoochun rape scandal. She claimed that they were together having a meeting with Yoo Ah-in on the date of the alleged rape. This statement was issued through her agency, Blossom Entertainment.
According to FX News, rumors were saying that the “Battleship Island” lead actor was with Park Yoochun at the time he committed the alleged rape on one of the five complainants. This was refuted by the actress and had her agency issued a statement to that effect.
The “Back Seat” singer battles five sexual assault complaints and producers’ rejection. The investigation is ongoing, but the domino effect is happening and affecting his career and his life as a whole. His friends, especially Song Joong-ki, are supporting him in his battles and his agency is doing the same.
Meanwhile, the “Running Man” actor is preoccupied with the filming of “Battleship Island.” His Asian tour has just ended and he is busy all year round because of his countless endorsements.
The actor is taking in earnings from different sources. His popularity zoomed up after the successful “Descendants Of The Sun” was shown. He and Song Hye-kyo helped propel economic growth in Korea and were instruments in promoting Korean films abroad.
Soompi reported that the actor increased commercial film earnings by 40 billion won, which is equal to $34.6 million in just half of 2016. In Korea alone, he earns 1 billion won or $865,000 and in China earns around 20 million yuan or $3 million in just six months.
He is the endorser of multiple products in Korea and accepts more endorsement contracts in China. He inks year-long contracts unlike the usual half-year contracts.
