However, finally, fans of the show can rest easy as it has been learned that they will be seeing more of the world of “Sons of Anarchy”, with an interesting twist, as it has also been learned that this new series will definitely be a spin-off of the show. Read on to learn more about the “Sons of Anarchy” spin-off that is currently in development.

Ever since “Sons of Anarchy” left the small screen, fans of the hit television show have been speculating whether Sutter would make good on his promise to have a prequel to the series, either in movie form or as another television series.

However, according to The Hollywood Reporter and Entertainment Weekly, Sutter, who is currently working on “The Bastard Executioner”, which is set to air this coming September, has finally broken the silence. It has been learned that a spin-off of “Sons of Anarchy”, and not a prequel, is currently being developed.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the spin-off series will be focusing on the Mayans Motorcycle Club, a rival biker gang to Jax Teller’s  (Charlie Hunnam) Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO), and who are based out of Oakland.

The Mayans, in the series, are connected with heroin distribution and prostitution, while SAMCRO is most known for gun running.

In the original series, the Mayans, led by Marcos Alvarez (Emilio Estevez), are considered as antagonists. They later on developed an unstable working relationship with SAMCRO.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Sutter, for the time being, will be involved with the show as an executive producer, and not as a show runner.
