Since “Sons of Anarchy”, the crime drama by Kurt Sutter premiered on September 3rd in 2008, the show has escalated to the ladder of popularity until its 7th season in 2014. The narrative of the show traces the lives of a close-knit outlaw motorcycle club operating in Charming, a fictional town in California’s Central Valley. Ron Perlman, who essayed a pivotal character in the small screen venture, has something to reveal about the drama series.
He admitted that he went through an audition to play the part of the motorcycle gang’s ruthless leader. Interestingly, his immortal portrayal as the character Clay Morrow has some unheard stories.
While discussing with “Fresh Air”, the “Pacific Rim” actor unveiled that the producer-director had already shot the pilot with another actor playing Clay Morrow but somehow a proper outcome had not landed from the actor and the network decided to attest another performer and thus, an opportunity knocked on Perlman’s door. He is heard saying “they were willing to reshoot the pilot and start — restart the clock and green light the show for a whole first season, which is 13 episodes.”
Aside from “Sons of Anarchy”, Ron Perlman’s acting resume has some noteworthy mentions like “Star Trek: Nemesis”, “Quest for Fire”, “Beauty and the Beast”, and “Hellboy”. Notably, the actor bagged a new role to delve into, one that will take him into a magical world. According to sources, Ron Perlman has been cast in J.K. Rowling’s newest movie franchise, a prequel to the “Harry Potter” movies called “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. The first of the new movie series is set seventy years before “Harry Potter”.
