It has been a terrible week for Craig Conover on “Southern Charm” Season 2. Conover revealed his thoughts on being fired from work and the dreaded task to tell his loved ones about it. Read on for details.
The first question viewers may ask is why Conover invited Shep Rose and Whitney Sudler-Smith to go home with him all the way to Delaware. In an exclusive interview with Bravotv.com, Conover explained that it was the perfect time for Rose and Smith to finally meet his parents. He also wanted his two best buddies to enjoy in his beloved hometown. Besides, he already met Rose’s and Smith’s parents. He was trying to return the favor.
Conover also explained why he did not tell his parents about being terminated from his job. He said he did not want to cause any worry. He planned to tell the truth to his parents after landing another job. He never thought of doing it by phone because it would only make things worse for him and his family. He admitted feeling shame because of his sad plight.
“They gave me the perfect childhood and have since provided me with everything I needed to become a very successful young adult. I didn’t think it was fair to them,” Conover said.
Now, Conover revealed his thoughts on Smith’s drunken fiasco during family dinner. He thought Smith was too “rude.” He understood Smith was drunk but did not want to make his parents think that he had bad friends. However, he forgave Smith immediately because he understood Smith’s daily struggle with his mother, Patricia Altschul. He appreciated Smith’s efforts in the past to help him no matter what.
“It’s just Whitney being Whitney,” Conover laughed.
