Southern Charm Cast Update: Is Thomas Ravenel Quitting the Show?
Spread the word, ’cause it’s fixin’ to be a charmed springtime! Your next dose of #SouthernCharm is coming March 16 at 10/9c on Bravo.

The latest episode of Bravo’s “Southern Charm” Season 2 on Monday, Apr. 27, 2015, sparked outrage from U.S. Senator candidate and former state treasurer Thomas Ravenel. His recent rants on social media was about his distasteful character on the episode which he claimed to be part of the producers’ manipulation. Read on for details.

Ravenel is known to delete controversial posts as soon as possible. Good thing ABC News 4 managed to have screenshots from Ravenel’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The reality star ranted about the upcoming episode way before its airing through Facebook. He slammed Bravo for editing the scenes to appear that he ditched his longtime girlfriend, Kathryn Calhoun Dennis, for Cooper’s Founders Ball. He explained that he left her after knowing that she was not ready yet. However, he managed to return and even waited for 30 minutes more because Dennis’ makeup artist wanted to take photos of her effort. He claimed that both he and Dennis knew that they were already late.

Ravenel continued to accuse Bravo of lying to its viewers and revealed that he only let the producers film him for only two months instead of the three-month project. He was aware of the network’s manipulations but chose to let go. However, this time, he was on the edge and promised to never appear on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” anymore.

The hysteria of Ravenel did not end on Facebook. He continued to rant on Twitter hours after the episode. He confirmed to never work with the show again for Season 3 because he was “so insanely portrayed.”

“This is supposed to be reality not fiction,” Ravenel wrote.

This is not the first time Ravenel promised to never show up for a season. Before the second season, he announced to quit the show. However, he changed his plans because of personal reasons. It might be for the money; we will never know.

“Southern Charm” airs every Monday at 10:00 p.m. on Bravo.
