Rumors of cancellation of “Southern Charm” season 3 is on the air though it is not confirmed either by the director or any co-star of the TV series. The rating of “Southern Charm” was going down when the confirmation came from the 52-year old politician Thomas Ravenel that he would no longer be acting for Season 3. Read on.
The seeming buzz that came up in Ravenel’s facebook profile was later deleted by the actor himself. It was reported by Realty Today that the Bravo TV executives were hanging on the idea of putting an end of the series. However, Shep Rose, co-actor of Ravenel, totally contradicted with his deleted statement by saying that the latter did not have any idea about the show’s future.
“Thomas doesn’t know what he is talking about. He is not a bad guy, but he has a few drinks and makes declarative statements,” Rose said while mudslinging Ravenel, who is the son of politician Arthur Ravenel.
According to Bustle, the network was not supposed to film the political engagement of Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis and give it feel of drama in order to attract an audience. The on and off the relationship between the two actors was a highly anticipated part of the show.
Further flame was added to the fury with Ravenel’s declaration in his facebook profile that he was not going to return for season 3. It was reportedly said that the producers were contemplating to renew the series without the politician.
According to Lalate News, “Southern Charm’s” rating was observed getting down day by day. However, three months back, “Shahs of Sunset’s” ratings rose to a 1.139 but “Southern Charm” marked an inferior rating.
The American reality TV series entitled “Southern Charm” premiered on March 3, 2014 on Bravo. The series is intended to portray the personal and professional lives of seven socialites who are the residents of Charleston, South Carolina.
