“Southern Charm” an American reality show that chronicles the personal and professional lives of seven socialites living in Charleston, South Carolina has had a good run for two seasons and just when fans of the series were waiting for an announcement regarding the next season, comes this update.
According to Vine Report, if rumors are to be believed then Bravo TV’s show will not be coming back for another season. The reason for the show not returning is being hinted at the lead Thomas Ravenel’s exit from the show. His decision to exit the show has only given rise to more speculations about the show getting cancelled. Another reason for the show’s cancellation is because of low ratings it was garnering. The first season was good, however the second season was not at par with the previous season’s performance. The chemistry and relationship between Thomas Ravenel and Kathryn Dennis also could not save the declining performance of the second season. But Shep Rose’s comment about the show’s cancellation might just ignite a little hope. According to him, Thomas might just return back to the show despite the comments he made. He also mentioned that this is not the first time the politician has announced his decision to leave the show.
One media outlet Fashion & Style reported that Thomas was not happy with the way he was portrayed in the Founder’s Ball episode as it made him look like a person who leaves Kathryn alone to go to some event. He also claimed that the editing of the episode only makes the matter worse than it actually was. He also offered explanation that he waited for her for about half an hour and when it seemed that she was not going to be there anytime soon, he left. Whatever the case be, we can all hope an official announcement about the show will be made soon.
