Spider-Man: Homecoming will be Tom Holland’s solo venture in the MCU. After an impressive debut stint as the Web crawler in Captain America: Civil War, his solo movie will focus on his life as a teenager and a superhero.
Keeping him company in his escapades would be Tony Stark, who will be acting as his mentor. With rumors circulating that an official trailer will be releasing soon, here are some expectations from it.
Captain America: Civil War saw a little glimpse of how Tom’s version of Spider-Man was. He was goofy, a little inexperienced but a good and sturdy fighter. He went head to head with Captain America, Giant-Man, Falcon and Bucky.
In his solo movie, apart from seeing Tom doing all the swinging, watching him play an awkward teenaged Peter and trying to balance his life would also be worth seeing.
Mentor Tony Stark
The second or rather the most important part of Spider-Man: Homecoming would be Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark. He has been an important part of the MCU right from the beginning and with this movie, he will be taking on an even more important role.
It would be interesting to see Tony post the events of Captain America: Civil War and whether he makes a good mentor or not.
Aunt May and Uncle Ben
Captain America: Civil War saw Marisa Tomei as a rather attractive Aunt May. It would also be interesting to see Uncle Ben in flashback where he delivers the most important line associated with Spider-Man.
Also, it would be good to know to what extent is Aunt May’s role in the movie.
Spider-Man: Homecoming Villains
Since villains happen to be an important part of any movie, villains in this one also will have to be of importance. As the Vulture is going to be the main villain of the movie, he would have to be different than other villains of the MCU.
Comic Book Movie reported that some low-res images from the upcoming trailer of Spider-Man: Homecoming have been leaked online. The pictures show Tom Holland in his school and someone looking at Spider-Man pictures on a tablet.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will release on July 7 next year.
