“Stakes,” the eight-part installment base on the animated TV series  “Adventure Time,” which will bring into focus the eerie back story of Marceline the Vampire Queen has been given an update!

Cartoon Network recently let loose some vital tidbits on their upcoming spin-off which will still be helmed by “Adventure Time” creator Pendleton Ward as mentioned in Yahoo Celebrity.

The bass-wielding vampiress now desires to be a mortal once and for all! Princess Bubblegum is at her wit’s end in producing a brew that will cure Marceline and make her “grow up”. To make matters even more difficult, Marceline is visited by her past adversaries including her most powerful archrival, the Vampire King.

Fortunately, helping Marceline and Bubblegum against these lately turned up immortal menaces are Finn and Jake with Marceline’s quest of curing her vampiric desires hanging in the balance!

All these exploits will begin its fearful run on Nov. 16 to Nov. 19, 2015 via the aforementioned eight-part standalone event on Cartoon Network.

The miniseries will still feature the voice talents of Jeremy Shada (Finn the Human), Olivia Olson (Marceline), Hynden Walch (Princess Bubblegum) and Tom Kenny (Ice King).

Joining the regular cast are Rebecca Romijn (“X-Men: First Class”) as The Empress, Paul Williams as the Hierophant, Beau Billingslea as the Moon, Kyle Kinane as Cloud Dance and Ron Funches as the Fool.

Rebecca Sugar, a former storyboard artist who left after an episode during the fifth season to concentrate more on her “Steven Universe” project, will be debuting as the voice artist for Marceline’s mother as cited by Broadway World.

To coincide with the Marceline backstory, Boom Studios as reported by Comic Book Resources will release a one-shot comic book story of how she became a vampire that she is today. The project is set to be released on the Oct. 28, 2015, just in time for Halloween.

Despite the shift of escapades on other characters, “Adventure Time” will still cater to Finn and Jake as they will have their seventh season this coming Nov. 2, 2015.
