Being a celebrity can take its toll on you, especially when you have to deal with a stalker that threatens your life. And this is what Beth and Jack solved in the latest episode of “Stalker” Season 1 Episode 7 “Fanatic.” Read on to learn more about this episode.
Nina was an actress who lived with her sister Emily. Emily also works for Nina. One night, while she was taking a bath, she heard some noise. She shrugged it off, thinking that it was her sister calling out to her. When she didn’t hear any response, she went out of the bathroom and found lasagna. Still oblivious to the fact that someone was there, she called for her sister. She found her bed full of rose petals, and a man suddenly was behind her. Luckily, she has a panic room. She raised the alarm and saw the man escaping from the cameras in her panic room.
Beth asked Tracy how she and Brody were doing. Tracy said that they were doing good, but they’re keeping things in a no strings attached kind of way because Brody is really young but legal enough to sleep with Tracy. When Beth got to the office, she got a mail — it’s a red envelope with a condolence card. But before she could process it, Jack came to her to tell her about the whole Nina incident.
They found out that Nina was really popular, and Janice also had some information on a fan who’s delusional over Nina — Heather Miller. When they got to the house, Nina said that she didn’t see the face of the attacker. When Jack checked the cameras, the staker was wearing an urn victim mask so they couldn’t really tell whether he’s a he or a she. Janice then said that the mask was from Nina’s show — Savage Shore.
Jack interrogated Emily, Nina’s sister, and she revealed that since Nina is a celebrity, her whereabouts can easily be tracked because of social media as well as the paparazzi following her. When asked about Nina’s current show and her role in it, she said that her character is in love with a disfigured man.
Meanwhile, Beth made another mysterious phone call regarding the creepy card and asked if the guy sent it. Heather was in the office, and they interrogated her but she had an alibi. Moreover, it doesn’t look like Heather was stalking Nina with bad intentions. Jack suspected one paparazzi, so they took him in. His shots were from great angles, and they wondered how he did that. At first, he didn’t want to tell his source. But eventually, he revealed that it was Emily.
Nina found out about this, and she got so upset with Emily. It turned out Emily was doing that to make money and start a new life because she left her life in Ohio to help her sister out. Nina and Emily got into a huge fight, and Nina asked her to leave. Just when she was about to leave, she found her tires all slashed out, and a man came to her offering help. Then things changed when the man started telling him that he doesn’t want Nina to get hurt, and Emily got so freaked out that she ran and got hit by a car.
Meanwhile, Perry showed up inside Beth’s house; and he did a lot of weird stuff inside such as lying on her bed, smelling her stuff, poking through her stuff, etc.
Emily tried to describe the man who attacked her, and they got the sketch. Janice said that the attack at Emily was from an episode of Nina’s show. They found the real stalker, Robert Dalton, who lives in El Segundo with his mom and has been taking medications for a mental disorder. They took him in, but then even before they were able to do so, he gave the impression that Nina was replying to his emails, and that’s why he fell for her really hard.
Meanwhile, we found out that it was Brody who got all Beth’s information from Tracy’s phone while she was taking a shower.
When they got Robbie’s computer, they found out that he wasn’t lying that Nina was indeed replying to him. They tracked the replies and found out that it was sent from a library just near his house, and the letters were like a parent talking to a child. They took Robbie’s mother in, Nancy, and she denied it at first. She even got to Nina and almost killed her, but luckily, Jack and Beth came to the rescue.
Beth then got a call back from prison to tell her that no one from there sent her that card. She showed it to Tracy, and she reminded her of her ex. She also told her about the case that they just resolved and how it got her thinking about what happened to her sister. They hugged, and we saw Brody lurking nearby with an evil smirk on his face.
