Star Wars: Episode 8 cast Carrie Fisher has passed away in Dec.2016. She has completed her work on episode 8 before her untimely death. But speculations are rife that she may not reprise her role in Star Wars: Episode 9.

A new theory is being discussed by star wars expert Mike Zeroh on late Fisher. In his video, he reveals that her character in Star Wars: Episode 8 might meet its end. Hence it is not possible to show her character in episode 9. Read to know more.

A theory shared by Zeroh discusses that Fisher’s character might not survive the odds of episode 8. He says, “…as far as Star Wars: Episode 9 is concerned they would simply consider Princess Leia as dead in Episode 8.” This is why fans may not see late Carrie Fisher in Star Wars: Episode 9.

Before passing away Fisher has completed her work on episode 8. Her role is important, post the death of her husband, Han Solo. He was killed by Kylo Ren, their son. Media reports reveal that her character General Leia Organa is playing a major role in Star Wars: Episode 8.

The producers of this film have said that her death means she will not be in Star Wars: Episode 9, reports Mirror. Hence the above-discussed theory does carry some potential truth in it.

After the death of her husband, Han Solo, things are changed for General Leia. There might be a new war seen in episode 8. At the end of this war, Princess Leia Organa fails to survive against the dark side of the force and loses her life. This is how Fisher might not survive in Star Wars: Episode 8.

There are rumors of reshoots being done for episode 8. Speculations are also rife that they are done to manage the character of Fisher in the film. As per star wars expert, with the help of some expanded scenes and probably a CGI (Just like it has happened for Paul Walker-Fast & Furious 7), Princess Leia can be managed in the episode 9 scenes.

When Will Star Wars: Episode 9 Filming Begin?

The filming of episode 9 has not yet started. It is speculated that they will start the shooting in the summer. In Star Wars: Episode 9, Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia may not appear if her character gets killed in Episode 8.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is set to hit the theaters on Dec.15, 2017.
