A new Star Wars: Episode 8 theory about Princess Leia Organa is making rounds on the internet. As per this theory, Leia’s son, Kylo Ren, might kill his mother on the order of Snoke.

The son of Princess Leia Organa, Ren, is a dark warrior and an apprentice to Snoke. He is also a high-ranking member of the First Order, as seen in the previous film. The first installment of the Star Wars trilogy has seen that Ren is getting trained under Snoke.

In Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Ren kills his father Han Solo on the command of Supreme Leader Snoke. Now, the possibility remains that Snoke might ask Ren to kill his own mother. It is clear that Princess Leia still believes her son will return to the Light Side of the Force. Hence, she might act as a roadblock for Snoke.

Currently, there are two potential events that can happen. One possibility is that after listening to the command of Snoke, Ren might realize that what he is going to do is bad. The second possibility is that he will obey the command. If the later takes place then Snoke will have several advantages. But the question remains, why will Ren do such an evil act again?

To Strengthen His Connection With Dark Side Of The Force

Ren had killed his father Han in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. After killing his father, he was surprised that the event did not bring the expected strengthening of his connection to The Dark Side of the Force, reports Express UK.

The report adds that Snoke will also realize this. He may be aware now that if Ren gets closer to his family, he might lose an apprentice. Therefore, to prevent the victory of Light Side of the Force, the supreme leader will order Ren to kill Princess Leia Organa in Star Wars: Episode 8.

If Princess Leia Organa Survives Snoke Might Be In Danger

The survival of Princess Leia Organa post her husband’s death is not a good sign for Snoke. He knows that Leia has full faith that “there is Light” remaining in her distracted son. And Leia is Force sensitive, as per aforementioned source.

It was at the request of Leia that Han went ahead to pursue their son to return back to them. Although this did not happen, Leia perhaps knew that chances of Ren returning to her are still there. If this happens then Snoke’s plans will be ruined. He wants to have a complete control over Kylo Ren. Therefore, killing Princess Leia through Ren might be the next target on his list in Star Wars: Episode 8.

Another Theory On Princess Leia Organa

A recent update, from Star Wars expert Mike Zeroh, reveals that Star Wars: Episode 8 will not see a reunion between Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia.

In the video, he says that when Rey comes to planet Ahch-To she meets Luke. Later Luke meets R2D2 and Chewbacca who are waiting in the space ship. But he does not meet Carrie Fisher’s Princess Leia Organa.

Another update on Star Wars: Episode 9 reveals that Fisher will not be re-created via CGI. And recently her brother said that Fisher will mark her presence in Episode 9.

Therefore, there is a possibility that Fisher’s character dies in Star Wars: Episode 8. And in Episode 9, she might appear in flashback scenes. But all this will be learned only when the film appears in theaters.

Star Wars: Episode 8 will be released on Dec.15, 2017.  The film stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Carrie Fisher(General Leia Organa), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Daisy Ridley (Rey), John Boyega (Finn), Oscar Isaac(Poe), Lupita Nyong’o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, and Andy Serkis are reprising their characters. On a tangent, Benicio del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran are the new cast additions.
