“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” presents a constellation of the iconic and rising stars in Hollywood. As fans will see again familiar actors and actresses like Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher, the movie will also feature new faces like Daisy Ridley. Since this is her first film ever in her acting career, how was the entire experience for her?
According to People, the previous exposure she had before this much-anticipated movie is a 15-second appearance in a PBS TV program entitled “Mr. Selfridge.” The transition is her career has absolutely taken a significant improvement and Ridley admits it is overwhelming for her.
“Because I hadn’t made a film before, the whole thing was scary. I had to get over the overwhelming fear of it. That was the hardest thing,” Ridley reveals.
What is her background in her acting skills? Ridley is a product of a school specializing in the performing arts although it wasn’t her first goal in her childhood years.
She explained: “I actually wanted to be a zookeeper when I was 5, I was somewhat naughty as a child. My parents found a performing-arts school, and it kept me really busy. I loved the drama classes.”
ABC interviewed her wherein she frankly narrates what exactly happened after the film screening. She is truly savoring every moment of her newfound fame. She says, “I came out [of the film screening] and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I’m cool,’ and then I got in the car and I was like ‘Wahhhh’ the whole way. And then the whole way home. It’s the first time I’ve really seen myself do something, so I was quite overwhelmed.”
Because of the opportunity Daisy Ridley got from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”, it is more likely now that she’ll land again in another big role either in movies or television.
